Guest Guidelines for the KNA-KEA Conference, 50th Anniversary Celebration,
and Elite Retreat

• Instructors may bring a maximum of one guest to the KNA-KEA Conference, International Conference, and Elite Retreat. (Additional guests may accompany Instructors to Japan, but only the Instructor and a single Guest may participate in the Conference and Elite Retreat events and meals.)
  
  
• Instructors will be allotted a maximum of one hotel room each for the Conferences and eligible Elite Instructors will be allotted a maximum of one hotel room at the Elite Retreat. (An Instructor’s guest(s) must share the room with the Instructor. Note that most Guest Rooms accommodate a maximum of two people. See Hotel Rates section on the event website for more information.)
  
  
• If the number of guests accompanying you to Japan require booking an additional room, you will be responsible to make your own hotel arrangements either at the designated event hotel or at an alternative hotel. Additional rooms reserved at the designated event hotel will not be part of Kumon’s room block and may be more expensive than the rate Kumon has negotiated. Guests staying at an alternative hotel may incur additional fees for ground transportation to and from the airport. Instructors and their guest staying at an alternative hotel are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the Conference sites.
  
  
• Guests attending the Conference and Elite Retreat must be 16 years old or older at the time of the events.
  
  
• Instructors and Guests of Instructors will pay a registration fee of approximately $200 each.

Definition of Guest Types

• Full-Participating Guests pay a $200 Registration Fee and may attend the KEA-KNA Conference, 50th Anniversary Celebration, and (if applicable) Elite Retreat.
  
  
• Full-Participating Guests may not attend the Kumon Global Forum following the 50th Anniversary Celebration or the Elite Retreat Events taking place on December 9.
  
  
• Full-Participating Guests may participate in most event-related meals.
  
  
• Full-Participating Guests will be transported to/from the airport/hotel.
  
  
• Full-Participating Guests attending the Elite Retreat (and not accompanying a Gold Instructor) will be charged an additional fee to cover the cost of travel from Tokyo to Kyoto and may be charged an additional fee to cover the cost of travel from Kyoto to the departure airport.
  
  
• Non-Participating Guests (a.k.a. Travel Companions) pay a $150 Registration Fee and may not attend the KEA-KNA Conference, 50th Anniversary Celebration, Kumon Global Forum, or Elite Retreat.
  
  
• Non-Participating Guests may not participate in event-related meals.
  
  
• Non-Participating Guests will be transported to/from the airport/hotel.
  
  
• Non-Participating Guests attending the Elite Retreat (and not accompanying a Gold Instructor) will be charged an additional fee to cover the cost of travel from Tokyo to Kyoto and may be charged an additional fee to cover the cost of travel from Kyoto to the departure airport.
